Station Road Restaurant is only a short distance to the hotel. 3 km to Caledonian Canal. I liked this, haven't been in a better property.

the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. the breakfast had a great selection and the food at the brasserie for dinner was excellently prepared and presented. the lounges with the real fire created a relaxing atmosphere to unwind in.
The garden rooms, unfortunately, lacked the promised greenery and were situated in the parking lot, dampening the overall experience.

Ideal location just a few minutes walk from the canal locks and Loch Ness. Friendly staff and good service.
Only slight concern was driving instructions from Booked.net website. These show hotel up a mountain track some 5 miles from where it actually is - in the centre of Fort Augustus and really accessable.
